Move aside, Monaco. There’s a new star-studded event in town – the PokerStars Open Cannes. Held in the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes, the same venue as the legendary Cannes Film Festival, there aren’t many places that offer the luxury and prestige of this resort town in the south of France.

By Air:

The closest airport is Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE), located about 27km from Cannes. You can take a taxi or private transfer (around 30-40 minutes), or the Bus 210 express shuttle service (around 45 minutes) to Cannes.

Other nearby airports include:

  • Marseille Provence Airport (MRS): Around 175km away (around a 2-hour drive).
  • Toulon-Hyères Airport (TLN): About 110km away (around a 1.5-hour drive).

By Train:

Cannes is served by both regional (TER) and high-speed (TGV) trains.

  • From Nice: The train ride takes approximately 25 minutes.
  • From Marseille: The TGV or regional trains take 2–2.5 hours.
  • From Paris: The direct TGV train to Cannes takes approximately 5 hours.

The Cannes train station (Gare de Cannes) is about a 10-minute walk to the casino.

By Car:

  • From Nice: Approximately 30-40 minutes.
  • From Marseille: Approximately 2 hours (A8 highway).
  • From Monaco: Approximately 1-1.5 hours (A8 highway or (D6007).

There are convenient public parking options near Casino Barrière Le Croisette.

By Sea:

If arriving by yacht or ferry, the Port of Cannes is right next to the casino. There are ferry connections from nearby towns like Saint-Tropez or Monaco.[MG1]
